Do light strength training on these muscles, without putting too much force or pain in them. You definitely need to work towards improving the tone and strength of each muscle group. This takes time but will result in fewer injuries and much less pain.

Use support shoes if you need them. Use ergonomically correct chairs, desks and keyboards so that your body is in the best position possible.

When you practice these three things regularly: good posture, regular exercises, and quality stretching, you will find the cure for lower back pain you are searching for. I have found that these three things along have done more for me in improving my back pain than anything I’ve found otherwise.

Back Pain Management: My Success Story

Back pain management is something I have to do daily if I want to get up and go to work, play with the kids or even just lounge around the home without being in constant pain. It really does not matter the type or reason behind the pain, as long as your doctor is aware of it. What I find important is the way that you manage daily life with back pain. There are many things you can do and then there are those you cannot. The first step is to know the different. But, I warn you, sitting around and doing nothing because it hurts is not an option.

My day starts with a hot shower, with my pulsating shower head spraying at my back for at least a few minutes. I then do a number of stretches, including bending over my bed and arching my back, side to side stretches and flexing each of the muscles there. This is necessary as it warms up those muscles to help avoid pain and further injury.

I also stretch several times per day. If you sit in a chair at your desk most of the day, you need to get up and stretch. It is a must. After work, I invest in some more back pain management by heading to my local gym. Yes, I work out and I work to build the muscles in my back three times a week. It is essential to strengthen these muscles so that when you do use them, you are not straining them. I have seen a good amount of reduction in my pain level from working out regularly. This also helps me to maintain my weight so that I’m not further straining my back.

After a long day, all I can stay is that even with this I still have aches and pains. Here, my back pain management consists of more stretching, a massage from my loved one, if there is time and another shower. I will take over the counter pain medications if I feel the pain is intense, which is rare. In addition, throughout my day I avoid doing things I know I cannot do that will further strain my back. 

Back pain management really is a process of laying a foundation of success by protecting your muscles and taking a bit more time to prepare them then the average person will.
