Lower Back and Hip Pain Products: Yes Or No?

Summary:

As you consider the many different types of back pain, also consider the lower back and hip pain products on the market and if they can provide you with help.

Lower back and hip pain are improved with proper stimulation and there are some products on the market that can greatly help with this. The key is to know what to get and what to avoid (can you do both?) I’ve tried a number of products for my pain. Sometimes I have a throbbing pain and just about anything will help. Other times, there is nothing that seems to do the trick. Yet, these products do seem to offer some level of support no matter what.

Here is a list of some of the lower back and hip pain products I have found that seem to do much good to help improve overall function and provide pain relief.

• Topical pain relievers: I find these do help, but in a limited way. They are good for muscle aches and pains such as those after a good workout. They can help with joint care, too.
• Leg spacers, knee wedges, side sleepers and other similar products also seem very helpful. These work to some degree, especially for those people who wake up feeling sore each day.
• Memory foam: You may have heard of this type of sleeping bed and it is a good idea especially when you need support. Yet, be warned, these can be hot!
• Adjustable air back supports: These are one of my favorites because they give you lots of pain relief in the entire back region, especially around the lower back.
• Back support for sitting: These are cushions and other designed products that are meant to provide support for your lower back and they do help.
• Feet support: Since so much of the back pain people face has to do with their posture, improving posture through these products can be very helpful. Your doctor should select supports in your shoes for you specifically, if possible.

When you  consider any of these lower back and hip pain products, keep in mind that many are quite useful, if you use them. For example, it is better to use the back support prior to getting hurt than to try and gain benefit from it after you are hurt. Nevertheless, these are products recommended for their ability to work well, regularly.
